COLUMBUS, Ohio — Guy Fieri's Flavortown Fest is no longer happening.
A spokesperson released a statement saying the two-day event in Columbus was canceled due to "unforeseen circumstances."
The festival was scheduled to take place in June at The Lawn at CAS, a 54-acre campus near the Olentangy River.
Two-day passes to the festival were available to purchase at $155. Refunds are being issued to anyone who bought them.
The festival was supposed to host some of the nation's top chefs and music artists. Organizers also planned a Pit Stop with classic cars and comedy battles at the Flavortown Fest Hometown Stage.
Rock band Greta Van Fleet and country star Kane Brown were also expected to perform along with artists Bret Michaels, LOCASH and Niki Moon.
Organizers said Flavortown Fest will still make a $10,000 donation to the three charity partners (National Veterans Memorial Museum, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Ohio and the Mid-Ohio Food Collective) that would have benefit from the festival.
Anyone with questions can email organizers here.
News of the cancellation comes as Guy Fieri, a Columbus native, is scheduled to open a new restaurant this spring at Eldorado Scioto Downs. The restaurant will feature an “old-school Italian feel” with polished glass screens, rustic wood finishes, an open pizza and pasta prep station and gallery walls. Guests can dine in one of the two main dining areas, a private dining room or the lounge-like bar.
