Authorities identify man killed in Delaware County shooting; suspect now sought by feds

The U.S. Marshals are assisting deputies in locating Bruno Vasquez Munguia.

DELAWARE COUNTY, Ohio — The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office identified the man who was fatally shot on Sunday. Federal authorities are now assisting in the search for the suspect.

The shooting victim was identified as 31-year-old Efrain Andrande Jimenez. He was found shot at a home on Norton-Waldo Road in Marlboro Township.

The sheriff’s office said the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Bruno Vasquez Munguia, remains at large. Authorities previously stated he was 22, but corrected his age to 35 in an update on Tuesday.

There was a warrant issued for his arrest, but the charges were not specified.

The sheriff's office said Munguia may be in the Columbus area or possibly Indiana. He has two fresh cuts on the right side of his face — one above the eyebrow and the other under his eye at the top of his cheek. He also has a large scar on his right bicep.

The U.S. Marshals are assisting deputies in locating Munguia.

He is believed to be armed and dangerous. Authorities encourage the public to not approach him and call 911 if they see him.
