COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Pickerington Community Theatre is hitting the stage this weekend with its own live version of a cult classic sci-fi movie, "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians."
Based on the universally-panned 1964 film of the same name, the play is a campy romp that follows the antics of a group of Martians out to kidnap Santa Claus in hopes of bringing the joy of Christmas to the children of Mars.
The star of the show is being billed as the one and only actual Santa Claus with whom children can meet and take pictures after each performance.
Pickerington Community Theatre's production of "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" runs through Dec. 15.
