How much rain did Helene drop in central Ohio? Here's a county-by-county breakdown

Helene dropped flooding rains and damaging winds all around Ohio on Friday. Here's a look at some of the numbers.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — As rain from what remains of Helene continues to fall around central Ohio, we are still taking stock of the heavier blow felt from the storm Friday around the region. This included numerous reports of wind damage, flooding and even a new record daily rainfall for Columbus.

That total was 1.44 inches at the airport, breaking the record for Sept. 27 of 1.29 set back in 1886.

However, this was relatively small compared to some of the numbers from around the 10TV viewing area. Rainfall totals over five inches were felt in parts of the state, and just outside our region. Dayton went from weeks of no rainfall to being almost an inch above normal for the/radar month of September in one day.

Below is a complete list of reports from Helene on Friday.
