COLUMBUS, Ohio — With temperatures as low as 28 forecasted for late Monday and early Tuesday, the National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for central Ohio counties.
Temperatures will be low enough to result in widespread frost formation that could kill sensitive outdoor plants if left uncovered. NWS warns those that have in-ground sprinkler systems to drain them and those that have sensitive plants to cover them.
The warning is issued Monday night until 10 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Skies clear after sunset and temperatures plummet into the upper 20s and lower 30s by sunrise on Halloween.
On Tuesday, we’re looking at partly sunny skies, highs in the middle 40s and a chance for a few snow flurries during trick-or-treat time Halloween night.
We'll stay cold on Wednesday, but we do see a chance for a little bit of sun. Temperatures begin to warm by Thursday and we'll be back into the upper 50s by the end of the week.
