COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohioans will be waking up to bitter cold wind chills nearing zero degrees on Thursday morning.
The 10 Weather Impact team has declared Thursday a Weather Impact Day due to chilly temperatures and the possibility of slick spots on the roadways.
As a fast-moving weather system drops through the Great Lakes late Wednesday, our brief period of "milder" weather will quickly end.
Winds will shift northwesterly behind the system overnight Wednesday and into Thursday. The combination of sustained winds of 15-20 mph, with gusts around 30 mph, will push wind chills to near zero degrees early Thursday.
In addition to the bitter cold, there may be some slick spots on the roads due to a coating of snow in some parts of central Ohio.
The winds will gradually relax during the day Thursday and any leftover snow showers will quickly taper to flurries.
Bundle up and be ready for this next shot of cold!
