COLUMBUS, Ohio — A wintry mix of rain, sleet and snow is expected to move through parts of central Ohio on Thanksgiving Day.
A 10TV Weather Impact Day has been issued for Thursday as roads could be slick for people traveling through the state for the holiday.
The newest forecast models released Monday morning indicate the possibility of a mix bag of rain, sleet, and snow. Your location is an important factor in this forecast, as areas north of Interstate 70 have the best chance of seeing a mix, while areas south of I-70 favor an all-rain scenario.
As of now, accumulations seem to be little to none, as the snow will be battling warm air. But as cold air flows in Thursday night, we could see some black ice again on Friday morning.
Our coldest weather of the season arrives just in time for the big rivalry game this weekend. Nighttime lows will be in the 20s and daytime highs below freezing. If you are heading to the Ohio Stadium on Saturday, dress for extreme cold!
