COLUMBUS, Ohio — Schreiner Ace Hardware in Columbus is one of the stores seeing and helping people get ready for this winter season.
“You have those people that do procrastinate, but we’ve been getting online orders and in-store pickup orders for several weeks now,” said store manager, Jeff Lynn said.
With more snow expected to move in Monday night and a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until Tuesday morning, Lynn says they are ready.
“We’ve been ready just because of COVID and supply chain issues, we wanted to make sure we were on top of everything,” Lynn said.
They had some items leftover from last year they are able to put out as well.
Lynn recommended a few items people should have for the winter.
“Obviously stock up on a good quality ice melting product to treat your sidewalks with. Always have a scraper for your car and have some sort of emergency car kit, obviously a shovel,” Lynn said.
They’re hoping for a winter this year, since last year there wasn’t much of one.
“Obviously we’re hoping for an interesting winter. Snow always helps, never makes fun driving weather, but you know hopefully we get a little bit of snow,” Lynn said.
