COLUMBUS, Ohio — If you’re traveling this weekend and preparing to take state Route 315 southbound, you might want to pick an alternative route. There’s some planned roadwork that will shut down a section of the road this weekend.
Route 315 southbound will be closed from Friday, Sept. 22 at 9 p.m. to Monday, Sept. 25 at 6 a.m. between Kinnear and Olentangy River roads and Goodale Street. A spokesperson for the Ohio Department of Transportation said the closure is weather depending.
Those heading southbound will be directed to a detour from Interstate 270 to I-70, to I-670, and then back to route 315.
According to ODOT, repairs will be made to the bridge deck, driving surface and bridge piers.
The construction, which does not yet have an exact start date, will last six months. There will be temporary closures for two separate weekends to the Olentangy Greenway Trail.
