I-70 eastbound to I-71 northbound ramp in downtown Columbus closed after semi crashes, spills fuel

The I-70 eastbound to I-71 northbound ramp will remain closed until the fuel is cleaned up.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Police say a semitrailer crashed into a wall near the Interstate 70 eastbound to Interstate 71 northbound ramp in downtown Columbus Sunday morning and spilled diesel fuel.

The crash happened around 8:15 a.m. The driver of the semi was treated at the scene for minor injuries, according to police.

The semi leaked about 100 gallons of diesel fuel from its tank after the crash. The I-70 eastbound to I-71 northbound ramp will remain closed until the fuel is cleaned up.
