Interstate 70 drivers around Columbus should prepare for another round of closures this upcoming weekend, starting Friday, October 5.
Overlay work on the bridge over Short Street will require crews to close I-70 eastbound between SR-315 and I-71 for the weekend.
All lanes of I-70 eastbound between SR-315 and I-71 will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday, October 8.
Drivers coming from the west side along I-70 eastbound will be diverted to I-670 eastbound, which they can then take to I-71 southbound to get back to I-70 eastbound as a detour.
The ramps from Broad Street, Sullivant Avenue, and Mound Street to I-70 eastbound will remain open but traffic will be forced to exit to SR-315 northbound or I-71 southbound.

I-70 EB will close at I-670. The detour is I-670 EB to I-71 SB to I-70 EB.
