COLUMBUS, Ohio — Two bridges over Interstate 270 and a ramp onto the interstate will close or have lane restrictions starting Monday as crews begin various construction projects.
The McComb Road bridge over I-270 will close starting Monday for bridge rehabilitation. It will remain closed for 90 days. The detour for this closure is Home Road to Gantz Road to Breeze Hill Drive to McZand Blvd, or reverse.
The work will include guardrail replacement and repair, bridge deck replacement with widening to accommodate a sidewalk, slope regrading and installation of vandal fencing.
The Hamilton Road bridge over I-270 will have various daily lane restrictions that will last through the winter. Northbound traffic will be shifted to the southbound lanes of the bridge.
Additionally, the Hamilton Road northbound ramp to I-270 will close through the winter. The northbound detour is Hamilton Road to Broad Street to I-270. The southbound detour is Hamilton Road to Granville Street to state Route 62 to I-270.
The I-270 northbound ramp to I-70 westbound will close from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday. Drivers can take I-270 northbound to U.S. Route 40 (Main Street) to I-270 southbound to I-70 westbound as a detour.
