COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus police responded to the scene of an crash involving multiple vehicles including a police cruiser.
According to police, the crash happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. on I-270 southbound near East Main Street.
Police were unable to say how many cars were involved in the accident.
Police say the officer was taken to Mount Carmel East as a precaution and is listed in stable condition.
All southbound lanes of I-270 were closed as a result but have since been reopened.
