COLUMBUS, Ohio — Showers and storms are moving through central Ohio, but they are expected to weaken through the night.

Heavy rain and frequent lightning are still being picked up on the radar, so while there are no current warnings in effect, there is still the threat of some strong to severe storms going into the early overnight.

The bulk of the precipitation will be arriving between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. and the overall system will be gradually weakening as it moves towards eastern Ohio.

Rain will then rapidly diminish shortly after this strong line moves through, but then there will be another line along a cold front that will bring some additional rain to the region shortly before daybreak on Thursday.

Skies clear out during the day on Thursday and highs will be in the low 60s.
