Police arrest second suspect in 2017 south Columbus homicide

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus police say a second arrest has been made in connection with a homicide from 2017.

Camron Garnes was arrested Tuesday in the shooting death of 41-year-old Gary Copling.

Copling died after he was shot on December 20, 2017.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired at the Dawghouse Bar, located in the 2000 block of Lockbourne Road.

Copling was found near Studer and Reeb Avenues about a half block northwest of the initial scene. He was taken to Grant Medical Center where he later died.

Police arrested Brian Reed on November 27, 2018 on a charge of murder in Copling's death.
