Several crashes, disabled semi causing heavy delays on I-71 toward downtown Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Several crashes and a disabled vehicle are causing heavy delays on Interstate 70 heading toward downtown Columbus, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation

Here's what to know: 

  • The left lane is blocked on I-70 West at I-70 West/I-71 South, due to a crash.

  • Expect lane closures on Ramp I-71 South/I-70 West to I-71 South at I-71 South, due to a crash.
  • The right lane is blocked on Ramp I-70 East to I-71 South, due to a crash.
  • The left lane is blocked on I-71 North at W. 25th St., due to a disabled vehicle.
  • The left shoulder is blocked on I-71 North beyond SR-104/Frank Rd, due to a crash.

The Columbus Division of Police said there were no reported injuries in any of the incidents. It is unclear how long the delays will last, but drivers should expect to add another 10 to 15 minutes to their commute.
