COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man's body was found in a wooded area in northeast Columbus Friday, according to the Columbus Division of Police.
On Sunday, police identified the man as Mohamed Hassan Adam, a local mosque leader who was reported missing last week.
Police said his body was found inside a van off of Windsor Avenue, west of Joyce Avenue. He was pronounced dead at 3:34 p.m.
Police said members of the Somali community found the body while they were looking for him.
Earlier Friday, the Somali community held a media event asking the public's help to find Mohammed Hassan Adam., a leader at a Columbus-area mosque.
