COLUMBUS, Ohio — Six Columbus Crew players have been called up to represent their respective nations in the upcoming FIFA international window, causing them to miss an upcoming game, the club announced Sunday.

Forward Cucho Hernández, defenders Mohamed Farsi and Steven Moreira, goalkeepers Nicholas Hagan and Patrick Schulte and Crew 2 forward Chase Adams will momentarily step away from the black and gold to represent their home countries.

The commitments mean the listed players will miss the club's Sept. 7 game against Seattle.

Hernández joins Colombia for a pair of Conmebol 2026 World Cup qualifying matches. The team travels first to face Peru on Sept. 6 before hosting Argentina on Sept. 10.

Farsi receives his first call-up to Algeria. Algeria was drawn into Group E in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifying and host Equatorial Guinea on Sept. 5 before traveling to face Liberia on Sept. 10.

Farsi previously represented Canada at the under-23 level.

Moreira will also take part in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifying, joining Cape Verde Islands on the road against Egypt on Sept. 6 and Mauritania on Sept. 10. Earlier this year, Moreira helped Cape Verde reach the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Quarterfinals.

Hagen joins Guatemala for a friendly against Uruguay on Sept. 1, followed by a pair of 2024/25 Concacaf Nations League, League A fixtures. The team then hosts Martinique on Sept. 5 and Costa Rica on Sept. 9.

Schulte and the U.S. Men’s National Team host two international friendlies this window, with one against Canada on Sept. 7 and the other against New Zealand on Sept. 10.

Adams is currently with the U.S. Under-17 Men’s Youth National Team for the Vaclav Jezek Tournament in the Czech Republic from Aug. 30-Sept. 9 for matches against Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The Crew are looking to keep up their winning streak after not having lost a match since July 20 against Atlanta.
