COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus Crew is gearing up for the 2023 Major League Soccer season.
The Columbus soccer team announced that it will be holding theme nights for fans during the upcoming season. The first planned theme night, Crewsmas, kicks off before the home opener on March 4 against D.C.
Fans can help celebrate the start of the season by joining the team at Lower.com Field for Crewsmas carolers, live music, a 360 photobooth and other festivities. The first 10,000 fans will receive a winter beanie, courtesy of Nationwide, according to the Crew.
The Crew will also be hosting a “Battle at the Death Star” night where fans are encouraged to dress up in Star Wars-themed costumes. They just ask that lightsabers are left at home.
"Back to the 90s" night on April 15 will feature a roller rink in the plaza of the Lower.com Field. The stadium will also display fireworks, marking the field’s second anniversary, after the July 1 match against New York.
