Ohio State freshman DB Marcus Hooker charged with DUI

Court records show he is also accused of having a blood alcohol content between .10 and .16.

Marcus Hooker, a freshman defensive back at the Ohio State University, is facing several charges after an incident in Pennsylvania earlier this month.

Hooker is facing charges of driving under the influence, disregarding traffic lane, careless driving, no rear lights and purchase of alcoholic beverage by a minor according to court records.

The charges were first reported by New Castle News.

According to court records, Hooker was charged by the Neshannock Township Police Department in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania and the offenses happened on June 16.

Court records show he is also accused of having a blood alcohol content between .10 and .16.

He has a preliminary arraignment scheduled for July 5.

Hooker, a three-star prospect, is a native of New Castle, Pennsylvania.

He is the younger brother of former Buckeye and current Indianapolis Colt Malik Hooker.

A spokesperson with Ohio State University said they have no statement but the football team is aware of the situation.
