As with every year, the regular season hits this point: Buckeyes vs. Wolverines.

We all know the history and what's at stake regardless of records and rankings.

Not trying to be short on words but let’s get to our list so I have an easier chance of avoiding the use of a certain letter that shall not be said this week.

1. Great Rivalry

Saturday is the 114th contest in this rivalry. The two schools have played each other in 100 straight seasons.

2. Overall Vs. Recently

TTUN leads the series 58-48-6 but Ohio State has won five in a row and 12 of the last 14.

3. Best For Last

The Buckeyes have finished their season against the Wolverines in every year since 1935 except once. Ohio State played the Iowa Seahawks in 1942.

4. Easily The Top Schools

Both schools enter with a Big Ten best 503 conference wins.

5. A Balanced Squad

The Buckeyes rank in the top 10 nationally in both total offense (4th) and total defense (8th).

6. Topping Another Record

J.T. Barrett is just one win shy of tying Art Schlichter as the school's winningest quarterback.

7. That School’s Season

The Wolverines are 8-3 and had won three in a row before losing to Wisconsin last week.

8. Three For All

Three different people have played quarterback for TTUN this season. Wilton Speight was injured in the fourth contest and Brandon Peters and John O'Korn have split reps.

9. Understanding Their Strength

The Wolverines defense is currently ranked No. 3 nationally and No. 1 against the pass.

10. Na-na-na-na-na

Regardless of the result Saturday, the Buckeyes will play for a Big Ten title in Indianapolis against the Badgers Dec. 2.
