The stage is set for a Top 5 matchup this Saturday at Ohio Stadium.

The No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes will be hosting the No. 5 Oklahoma Sooners under the lights.

We can talk all about Ohio State's big win last year in Norman (I'll mention it below) but it's a new season and the first home game for the Buckeyes this season.

So without further hype up here, let's get down to the 10 Things To Know:

Setting The Stage

This is just the fourth meeting between two schools known for their football programs. Ohio State leads the series 2-1 including the 45-21 win in Norman last year.

(Such a great catch.)

Rank ‘Em

Both schools are ranked coming into this weekend’s game, but that’s nothing new. In each of the four meetings, both teams have been ranked in the top 15.

Respecting The Past

Speaking of the tradition of both schools, Ohio State and Oklahoma are No. 3 and No. 5 in the all-time winning percentage. Also, the two schools have combined to produce 818 NFL Draft picks and 12 Heisman Trophy winners.

Home Sweet Home

Ohio State is 114-9-4 in home openers since 1890 (That’s nearly 90 percent for us who hate math).

Under The Lights

The Buckeyes are 16-4 in night games at Ohio Stadium. The team has also won 15 of its last 17 night games overall.

10 Is Greater Than 12

Ohio State is 19-5-1 against the current members of the Big 12.

He Beats The Best

Urban Meyer is 19-7 in his career against top 10 teams. His record at Ohio State is 8-4 in those games, including winning seven of the last nine.

College Football’s Road Show Is Back

ESPN’S College Game Day is returning to Columbus for the 16th time. The Buckeyes are 11-4 when the show is in town. Ohio State is tied with Alabama for the most Game Day appearances.

Sooner Summary

Oklahoma has always been connected to former coach Bob Stoops. He announced his retirement earlier this year, ushering in the Lincoln Riley era. Riley was left with a loaded team that includes returning QB Baker Mayfield. The Sooners defeated UTEP in their season opener, 56-7.

So, About Your Parking Spot…

Not to end the list on a groaner, but we need to remind you about some parking changes. Because of the Cannon Drive construction project, 2,100 parking spaces used for gameday are gone. Starting September 4. The Polo and Dodd surface lots will be closed. You can get more information on the closures by clicking here.
