Bexley police said five people were injured after a portion of the bleachers collapsed at St.Charles Preparatory School Friday night.
The front railing portion of a section of bleachers collapsed at around 9 p.m. during a high school football game.
Witnesses told 10TV the students were crowding a TV camera which caused the collapse.
"They were all up against the fence, trying to get in the shot of the camera when the bleachers just broke and everyone fell down," said student Matthew Miller.
Miller said he watched everyone in front of him tumble.
"I was on the top part of the bleachers when it fell, so I just fell on everyone else," said Miller.
The injured were taken away in ambulences.
School officials would not comment on the collapse.
St. Charles was playing Eastmoor Academy at the time of the collapse.
