A former Ohio University football coach has lost his battle with cancer.
Tom Lichtenberg died at the age of 72.
Lichtenberg coached Ohio from 1990-1994, but never managed a winning record as the head of the Bobcats.
Lichtenberg also spent time as an assistant with Ohio State, Notre Dame and Iowa State, among other schools.
He also spent time as an assistant with the Columbus Destroyers of the Arena Football League for one season.
