COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Big Ten released football schedules Wednesday for the 2025 season and the Buckeyes have several notable matchups.
Ohio State will open the season at home against Texas on Aug. 30. The Longhorns are making their second trip to Columbus. They last visited Ohio Stadium in 2005.
The Buckeyes will then host Grambling and Ohio University before their first off week of the season on Sept. 20.
Big Ten play will begin on Sept. 27 for the Buckeyes when they travel to Seattle to take on Washington. Ohio State will also be on the road in matchups against Illinois, Wisconsin, Purdue and Michigan to end the season.
The Buckeyes will host Big Ten opponents Minnesota, Penn State, UCLA and Rutgers.
The 18 conference teams will be vying to compete in the 2025 Big Ten championship game Dec. 6 at Lucas Oil Stadium with the winner claiming the league’s automatic entry into the College Football Playoffs.
