Ohio State football press conference: Ryan Day speaks ahead of top-5 matchup against Penn State

The fourth-ranked Buckeyes are coming off a close win against Nebraska and travel to Happy Valley this week to take on No. 3 Penn State.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State head football coach Ryan Day held his weekly media briefing Tuesday from the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.

The fourth-ranked Buckeyes are coming off a close win against Nebraska and travel to Happy Valley this week to take on No. 3 Penn State. The game kicks off at noon.

The Buckeyes are 6-1 this season with their only loss being against now No. 1 ranked Oregon. The game against Penn State will give the Buckeyes another chance to prove themselves against a top-five team.

Penn State is 7-0 this season, most recently beating Wisconsin. The Nittany Lions moved into the top five of the AP poll after week six and have maintained their presence since then.

Following Day's update Tuesday afternoon, offensive coordinator Chip Kelly and defensive coordinator Jim Knowles also spoke with the media.
