COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State head football coach Ryan Day held his weekly media briefing Tuesday from the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. Offensive Coordinator Chip Kelly and Quarterback Will Howard joined Day in speaking about improvements and expectations heading into Saturday's game.
The No. 2 ranked Buckeyes are coming off a shutout win against Purdue on Saturday and travel to Chicago this week to take on the Northwestern Wildcats at Wrigley Field.
“Coming out of last week, I felt like we showed consistency, which is important,” Day said during the press conference. “We got to keep building, we got to stay consistent, the players and the coaches got to continue to bring energy. You know, this time of the year you got to be at your best and there’s a lot that comes with that."
Kickoff for the Ohio State-Northwestern game is set for noon and the game will appear on The Big Ten Network.
Northwestern is ranked 15th in the Big Ten Conference and won four out of the nine games they played so far this season.
Ohio State has 21 wins and one loss to Northwestern. In their last matchup against the Wildcats in 2022, the Buckeyes walked out of Evanston with a 21-7 win.
