COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins has announced his commitment to Ohio State, a decision made less than a week since he entered the transfer portal.
The rising junior’s announcement comes after Michigan ended its 2023 season with a 34-13 win over Washington in the College Football Playoff National Championship.
In his post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Judkins expressed his eagerness in wanting to beat That Team Up North.
“I’m looking forward to being a part of a winning culture and helping do my part to beat the TUN and bring a Big Ten Championship and National Championship to Columbus,” he wrote in his post.
Judkins was Mississippi’s leading rusher for the past two seasons. In 2022, he rushed for 1,567 yards and 16 touchdowns with 274 carries. In 2023, he rushed for 1,158 yards and 15 touchdowns with 271 carries.
This year, Judkins was the eighth rusher in Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) history and second in SEC history alongside Georgia’s Herschel Walker to chart 1,000 yards and 15 touchdowns across both their freshman and sophomore seasons.
Additionally, he is the only active FBS rusher with at least 1,500 career yards and a per-game career average in the triple digits (104.8).
Judkins could make Ohio State have a dynamic running back duo if TreVeyon Henderson decides to stay for his senior year. If Henderson does declare for the 2024 NFL Draft, the Buckeyes would still have a potential No. 1 back.
“The RB brotherhood at Ohio State is incredibly special and I am grateful to have an opportunity to be a part of that,” Judkins said in his post.
