COLUMBUS, Ohio — Soon after Ticketmaster opened its 10 a.m. window to purchase seats for Ohio State vs. Tennessee the tickets were gone.
Verified resale tickets remain available for the playoff matchup, with the cheapest seats going for nearly $300 apiece.

The Buckeyes will face the Volunteers under the lights at Ohio Stadium on Saturday, Dec. 21. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. This is the first time Ohio State is hosting a playoff game.
Tickets for the Ohio State-Tennessee game
Seatgeek, Vividseats and Stubhub began offering tickets shortly after the game was announced, with prices starting around $320. The most expensive seats appear to be listed on SeatGeek in the section right behind Ohio State's bench. Those tickets are listed at $3,767 each.
Season ticket holders had until noon on Dec. 9 to indicate they wanted their seats. Ticket prices for season ticket holders ranged from $117 to $403, according to the university. They also had the opportunity Wednesday morning to purchase more tickets if they needed.
According to a university spokesperson, 3,500 tickets were allotted for visiting schools in the first round of the playoffs. Typically, opponents are provided with 3,000 tickets for regular season games at Ohio Stadium, with 4,000 tickets held for Penn State and Michigan games. The spokesperson said the two universities hold the same amount for Ohio State when the Buckeyes visit them.
Tickets quickly sold out on Ticketmaster Thursday morning, but verified resale tickets remain available. The cheapest seats are currently going for nearly $300 apiece.
