EAST LANSING, Mich. — After a few tune up games, Ohio State is entering conference play this week.

Here's this week's 10 Things To Know.

  1. This game will mark the start of Ohio State’s 112th Big Ten Conference season. Ohio State’s first season of Big Ten play was in 1913.
  2. The Buckeyes have the most Big Ten Conference wins with 550. Ohio State's .749 conference winning percentage is also the best in the conference.
  3. Ohio State and Michigan State will be meeting for the 53rd time on Saturday. Ohio State holds a 37-15 series lead. 
  4. Eight of Michigan State's 15 wins in this series have come over a nationally ranked Ohio State, including five Spartan wins over a Top 5 Ohio State team.
  5. Ryan Day coached teams are 5-0 vs. Michigan State. His teams have only allowed 52 total points in those games.
  6. Michigan State's last win at back in 2015 at the Shoe. Ohio State lost 17-14. 
  7. Ohio State has won all nine games played in East Lansing this century. Michigan State's last win at Spartan Stadium was 23-7 in 1999.
  8. The Buckeyes have winning streaks over 13 of 14 teams it has met in Big Ten play of late.
  9. In last week's win against Marshall, Ohio State allowed just 61 second half yards and zero points. The Buckeyes have not given up a second half point this season.
  10. Running backs Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson each scored two TDs for the second straight game. It's been more than 10 years since Ohio State had multiple rushing touchdowns by multiple players in straight games.
