Ohio State's Dawand Jones announces NFL Draft decision

Jones earned first team honors from CBS Sports and second team accolades from the Associated Press and Sporting News.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State is down another starting offensive lineman from 2022 as Dawand Jones officially announced he will be entering the 2023 NFL Draft.

Jones made it official on Wednesday with a post to his Twitter account.

"I would like to say I'm entering my name in this upcoming NFL DRAFT," Jones said.

It was known Jones would be leaving after he accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl.

Jones, who started all 11 games that he played in, earned first team honors from CBS Sports and second team accolades from the Associated Press and Sporting News.

Jones' announcement follows two other starters from the line going to the draft. Paris Johnson Jr. and Luke Wypler both announced on Tuesday they would be going to the next level.

Ohio State did receive some good news earlier on Wednesday when Matt Jones said he would be returning to the Buckeyes for a sixth season.
