COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State center Seth McLaughlin and seven other Buckeyes have earned themselves midseason All-America honors.
The Ohio State University Department of Athletics announced Friday that four defensive and four offensive players received honors. McLaughlin was chosen as a first-team honoree by the Associated Press.
The following offensive players earned honors:
OC Seth McLaughlin – first team by Press, The Athletic, CBS Sports, Senior Bowl, The Sporting News
WR Jeremiah Smith – second team by The Athletic and The Sporting News
OT Josh Simmons - second team by the Associated Press and Senior Bowl
OG Donovan Jackson - second team by the Associated Press
On the defensive side, the following players were named as honorees:
SAF Caleb Down – second team by the Associated Press, The Athletic and CBS Sports
DT Tyleik Williams - The Sporting News
SAF Lathan Ransom - second team by the Associated Press
Ty Hamilton - second team by the Associated Press and the Senior Bowl
The Buckeyes are currently in their off week but will face off against Nebraska next Saturday, Oct. 26.
