Ohio State, Michigan marching bands combine for halftime show honoring 'The Music of Billy Joel!'

This is the third time TBDBITL has combined with an opposing team's band for a halftime show.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State University Marching Band and the Michigan Marching Band joined forces on Saturday to bring "The Music of Billy Joel!" to this year's rivalry game at the 'Shoe.

The two bands performed the show together in Indianapolis at the Bands of America Grand National Championships earlier this month.

This is the third time TBDBITL has combined with an opposing team's band for a halftime show. The first was in 1995 with the Purdue Marching Band and the second was in 2022 with the Iowa Marching Band.

Music in this week's halftime show:

  • We Didn't Start the Fire
  • Uptown Girl
  • It's Still Rock 'n' Roll to Me
  • My Life
  • Piano Man
  • Pressure

They ended the show with a performance of Stars and Stripes Forever.
