Ohio State Marching Band honors 30th anniversary of Forrest Gump

The Best Damn Band In The Land paid homage to the 1994 classic "Forrest Gump" on Saturday.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — An Ohio State halftime show is like a box of chocolates: You never know what you're gonna get.

The Best Damn Band In The Land paid homage to the 1994 classic "Forrest Gump" on Saturday.

The band performed "Runnin' on Empty," "Break on Through," "Go On Your Own Way" and the end credits from "Forrest Gump."

The movie starred Tom Hanks along with Robin Wright, Gary Sinise, Mykelti Williamson and Sally Field.

"Forrest Gump" was released on July 6, 1994. It would go on to be nominated for seven Golden Globe Awards and won three of them: Best Actor - Motion Picture Drama, Best Director - Motion Picture and Best Motion Picture - Drama.
