COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State fans will be able to embark on a special tour of the ‘Shoe this September when the team has a weekend off.

The Ohio State University Department of Athletics is hosting a “Things You’ve Never Seen Tour” on Sept. 13-15 where guests will be able to go behind the scenes of Ohio Stadium.

The tour will take visitors to places they normally would not be able to go on a regular public tour.

Stops on the tour include the athletic director suite, TV broadcaster booth, bell tower, old “classrooms,” inside the north tower and the home locker room.

At the end of the tour, there will be an all-inclusive tailgate in the Ohio State recruit room with food and beverages, games on the TV and a cash bar. After 5:30 p.m., tour guests must be over the age of 21 with each tour ticket including beverages from the bar.

According to a release, the school recommends guests be over the age of 12 and physically capable of walking long distances in the stadium. Guests will walk more than a mile and climb dozens of steps. Strollers will not be allowed.

A ticket pre-sale will open up for Ohio State football season ticket holders from Aug. 13-16. Remaining tickets will then go on sale to the general public on Aug. 19.

They also offer guided tours through the Ohio Stadium where guests can check out the band center and home locker room. Group tours are also available for groups of 10 or more.
