COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State head football coach Ryan Day held his weekly media briefing Tuesday from the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.
The Buckeyes are coming off their first of two bye weeks this season and are eager to get back on the field.
Day called the early bye an "improvement week" and said the team tried to keep many of the same routines as a typical game week but also get some extra days rest.
"The idea was to get better. I think we did do that," Day said Tuesday. "Now we'll get back into game week."
Ohio State faces Marshall on Saturday as they round out a three-game homestand to kick off the season. The third-ranked Buckeyes (2-0) are outscoring their opponents 108-6 in the first two games.
Big Ten action will begin next week for the Buckeyes when they travel to East Lansing to take on Michigan State.
Following Day's update Tuesday afternoon, offensive coordinator Chip Kelly and starting quarterback Will Howard both spoke with the media.
Saturday's game against Marshall at Ohio Stadium is scheduled to kick off at noon. The game will be televised on Fox and can be heard locally on 97.1 The Fan.
