Ryan Day holds press conference ahead of Ohio State-Marshall game

Ohio State faces Marshall on Saturday as they round out a three-game homestand to kick off the season.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State head football coach Ryan Day held his weekly media briefing Tuesday from the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.

The Buckeyes are coming off their first of two bye weeks this season and are eager to get back on the field.

Day called the early bye an "improvement week" and said the team tried to keep many of the same routines as a typical game week but also get some extra days rest.

"The idea was to get better. I think we did do that," Day said Tuesday. "Now we'll get back into game week."
