Kickoff times announced for Ohio State's first two games of the 2024 season

The Buckeyes' home game with Akron on Aug. 31 is set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. and it will be televised on 10TV.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State Buckeyes announced the start time for their first two games this year.

The Buckeyes' home game with Akron on Aug. 31 is set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. and it will be televised on 10TV. 

Ohio State's home game with Western Michigan, scheduled for Sept. 7, will kick off at 7:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.

The homecoming game against Nebraska will start at either noon or 3:30 p.m. Ohio State's game against Northwestern at Wrigley Field will be played at either noon or 3:30 p.m. as well. The network for each game is undecided.

The Buckeyes will host the Wolverines this year in "The Game" and look to snap a three-game losing streak against their Big Ten rival. That game will be aired on FOX and will once again kick off at noon.

Game times and network carriers for the rest of the games are still to be determined.

  • Aug. 31 – Akron (3:30 p.m., CBS)
  • Sept. 7 – Western Michigan (7:30 p.m., BTN)
  • Sept. 14 – Off
  • Sept. 21 – Marshall
  • Sept. 28 – at Michigan State
  • Oct. 5 – Iowa
  • Oct. 12 – at Oregon
  • Oct. 19 – Off
  • Oct. 26 – Nebraska
  • Nov. 2 – at Penn State
  • Nov. 9 – Purdue
  • Nov. 16 – at Northwestern
  • Nov. 23 – Indiana
  • Nov. 30 – Michigan (Noon, FOX)
