Ohio State WR Harrison Jr. becomes unanimous first-team All-American, wins Silver Football

Harrison is among 11 Big Ten players, five of whom are Buckeyes, to be named a unanimous first-team All-American twice.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. earned a rare feat by being named a unanimous first-team All-American for the second straight year.

The Biletnikoff Award winner was named a first-team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association, an accomplishment that completes a sweep of the five major All-American teams this year. The award grants him the honor of unanimous All-American status for the second consecutive year.

Harrison is among 11 Big Ten players, five of whom are Buckeyes, to be named a unanimous first-team All-American twice.

Harrison also received the Chicago Tribune Silver Football award, presented to the player considered the best in the Big Ten Conference. He is the 23rd Buckeye to win the award and the first Ohio State wide receiver.

The Heisman Trophy finalist caught 67 passes for 1,211 yards and scored 15 touchdowns this season.

Harrison was also named the Big Ten offensive player and wide receiver of the year.

The junior has not made a decision on if he will play in the Cotton Bowl yet. He also is still deciding whether to come back to Ohio State for his senior year or enter the 2024 NFL Draft, where he would be expected to be a top 5 pick.
