COLUMBUS, Ohio — We are at the halfway point in the season and the Ohio State Buckeyes are looking to keep a strong season going as they welcome the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

  1. This is the first game between Ohio State and Nebraska in three years. The Buckeyes beat the Cornhuskers 26-17 on the road in 2021.
  2. The game will feature two Top 20 defenses. Ohio State is second in total defense at 251.3 yards per game and Nebraska is 18th at 304.3 yards per game
  3. Ohio State holds a 9-1 record against Nebraska. The Buckeyes haven't lost to the Cornhuskers since 2011.

  5. Smith is also just nine catches away from tying the most receptions by an Ohio State freshman in a year. That was also set back in 1984 with 41 receptions.
  6. Emeka Egbuka had a career-high 10 receptions vs. Oregon, which moved him to sixth place in Ohio State history in career receptions.
  7. With 3,169 career yards, TreVeyon Henderson is just 30 yards from Top 10 rushing status at Ohio State.
