A traffic crash on Interstate 70 in Muskingum County left two people dead on Sunday afternoon.
The identities of the victims were not immediately available.
The crash occurred near mile marker 164, which is east of Zanesville and west of New Concord.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol indicated one vehicle was involved.
Troopers and Muskingum County sheriff's deputies shut down I-70 in the eastbound direction in response to the crash.
