A three alarm house fire destroyed a Thornville home.
Licking County firefighters said two people escaped their burning home overnight in Thornville.
The couple living at 9690 Roley Hills Road called 911 around 5:15 a.m. when they awakened by the sound of smoke detectors.
Investigators said the fire started in the garage and spread to the home. The cause does not appear to be suspicious.
Around 10 fire companies responded to the blaze which took 20 minutes to contain. Emergency crews were concerned about the amount of water they may have to bring in.
The Red Cross was called to assist the victims.
