Two people are dead following a head-on accident in Morrow County.
The crash occurred on SR 229, near County Road 221, just west of Marengo around 8 a.m. Two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision.
Ohio State Highway Patrol says one of the two vehicles went left-of-center and struck the other; but it's unclear thus far which driver was at fault.
Authorities identified the drivers as 48-year-old David Rothgeb and 25-year-old Karri Shira.
Shira was wearing a seat belt while Rothgeb was not.
Both directions of SR 229 were closed between US 42 and SR 61 after to the crash, but it has since reopened.
