Three people are dead following a chain of accidents in Marion.
The incident occurred on Delaware Avenue and Executive Drive before 4 p.m.
According to authorities, the driver of one vehicle, Larry Dennison, Jr, 41, sideswiped another car before fleeing the area. Troopers said Dennison then smashed into four parked cars at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Executive Drive.
Following the crash, two vehicles burst into flames. Three people trapped inside one of the vehicles on fire died.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol has since identified the deceased as Johanna M Sisson, 45, Edwin Sisson, 50 and Amanda Sisson, 27. They were all from Marion.
Several others inside another car that was in flames were able to escape with the help of a good Samaritan.
"The fire, just never saw a fire like that, such big explosions of fire," said witness Dottie Crossland.
Crossland watched in horror from a second floor doctors' office nearby.
"I couldn't believe, you know, this is something you see on TV you don't see out on Delaware Avenue," said Crossland.
In all, 11 people were taken to the hospital. They are all expected to survive.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
"It's just shock, you know, still shock, just in shock right now," Crossland said.
