Teays Valley High School was on lockdown Thursday afternoon due to a threat.
The lockdown was issued about 12:40 p.m. The district could not give more details regarding the nature of the threat.
The district said multiple law enforcement agencies were investigating the credibility of the threat.
An alert went out to families.
