Police are releasing details of a report into an officer-involved traffic crash last fall that killed a couple and four of their daughters.
Prosecutors say no charges will be filed against a central Ohio police officer whose cruiser slammed into a car in an intersection.
Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien says dash-cam video shows Upper Arlington Officer Shawn Paynter's car drove into an intersection in suburban Columbus on a yellow light on the way to an emergency call on Oct. 18.
A car driven by a Columbus man already had entered the intersection on a red light and stopped in the middle.
The subsequent crash killed the driver, his wife and four of their daughters who were in the back seat.
O'Brien says in a letter to Perry Township's police chief that there is no basis for criminal or traffic charges in the case..
