Recall Roundup: Chevy Cruze Recall Tops This Week's List

Another automaker has announced a major recall this week.

General Motors is recalling about 150,000 Chevy Cruze compact cars, Consumer 10's Kurt Ludlowreported on Friday.

The company said it needs to make sure steering shafts were installed properly, andtransmissions on about 120,000 of those cars will also be checked.

Columbus-based Limited Brands has recalled some beaded curtains due to a risk of entrapment andstrangulation. These items were sold exclusively at Justice Stores from August 2010 throughMarch.

The company has received two reports of consumers becoming entangled in the curtains. Noinjuries have been reported, but consumers should stop using them and return them to the store fora full refund.

Toro is recalling some snow blowers and mowers because of fire and burn hazards, specificallythe Toro Power Clear Snow blower and the Toro 20" recycler mower

The problem is the carburetors on both items can develop fuel leaks and can ignite when exposedto an ignition source, posing a fire or burn hazard. There have been about 500 reports ofcarburetor leaks. There were no reports of fire or injury.

The items were sold Toro dealers in the United States from September 2009 through March.
