COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy is among the top donors on a GoFundMe page made for victims of Saturday's shooting at Donald Trump’s Pennsylvania rally.
The shooting, which is being investigated as an assassination attempt on the former president, left one attendee dead and two others critically injured.

Trump said the upper part of his right ear was pierced in the shooting. His aides said he was in “great spirits” and doing well.
“I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin,” he wrote on his social media site. “Much bleeding took place.”
The FBI early Sunday identified the shooter as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, as it pressed its investigation.
Secret Service agents fatally shot Crooks. The gunman attacked from an elevated position outside the rally venue at a farm show in Butler, the agency said.
To support the families and attendees affected by the shooting, a GoFundMe page was set up, with the description saying it was authorized by Trump. The financial goal was $1 million, and so far, more than $2.5 million has been donated.
Among the top donors listed on the page is Ramaswamy, who appears to have donated $30,000.
Ramaswamy posted to X, saying “Apoorva and I mourn for the Trump supporters who were killed or wounded in the brutal assassination attempt. Please join us in supporting these proud Americans & their families. God intervened on behalf of our nation last night, let’s do our small part.”
Other notable donors included Kid Rock, who pitched in $50,000, Ben Shapiro, who gave $15,000 and the Daily Wire, which also gave $15,000.
Ramaswamy posted to social media after the shooting, saying in part, “No amount of verbiage today changes the toxic national climate that led to this tragedy.”
