FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio — Tuesday is officially Election Day, but over 200,000 Franklin County residents have already cast their ballots through early voting.
Early voting started Oct. 8 and ended Nov. 3. During that time, 127,124 people in Franklin County cast their ballot in person. Here's a breakdown of party affiliation, according to a Franklin County Board of Election spokesperson:
- 72,924 unaffiliated/independent
- 35,468 Democrats
- 18,731 Republicans
- 1 Libertarian
The busiest day of early voting was Nov. 1, with 7,956 people voting early. The day with the lowest number of voters was Oct. 27, with just 3,175 casting their ballot early.
A total of 136,074 Franklin County residents requested absentee ballots and 118,353 people returned them, according to data from the Ohio Secretary of State's Office.
In total, 245,477 people in Franklin County voted early.

- 151,618 unaffiliated/independent
- 56,675 Democratic
- 37,181 Republican
Here's a breakdown of early voting by age group:
- Ages 18-24: 20,553 ballots requested, 17,503 returned
- Ages 25-34: 36,994 requested, 33,469 returned
- Ages 35-44: 35,759 requested, 32,837 returned
- Ages 45-54: 35,766 requested, 33,477 returned
- Ages 55-64: 51,217 requested, 48,749 returned
- Ages 65+: 82,919 requested, 79,442 returned.
Polls for the election on Tuesday opened at 6:30 a.m. and will close at 7:30 p.m.
