A man who was struck by a pickup whose driver was fleeing from police died Tuesdayafternoon.
Jeff Robinson, of Pataskala, died Tuesday after the van he was driving was struck by a cardriven by Randy Ratliff Monday night, 10TV News reported.
Robinson, 48, was taken to Licking County Memorial Hospital and later transported to The OhioState University Medical Center in Columbus.
Police said Ratliff was fleeing from them and ran a red light on state Route 79. Ratliff'spickup struck the van that Robinson was driving.
Before the crash two people jumped out Ratliff's pickup and fled on foot. Police were stillsearching for those people.
Ratliff, 51, remained hospitalized in Columbus on Tuesday, 10TV News reported. He has not yetbeen charged with any crime.
