Riverside Methodist Hospital has obtained the new type of mammogram that allows doctors to findbreast cancer earlier.
The hospital is only one of two places in Ohio that has the 3D mammogram machine, 10TV's AndreaCambern reported Tuesday.
The machine moves to create multiple images from different angles, and processes the images toshow the inside of the breast in 3D.

The medical radiology director, Tom Buse, at Riverside said it allows doctors to see whichtissue is not dangerous.
"It reduces call-back rate from screening mammograms," said Buse, "So we hope to reduce thenumber of patients we hope to call back after a screening exam."
The hospital planned to start using the machine in August, once the staff is fully trained.
